Welcome to Bookish Buzz, your monthly guide to all things bookish. I know that this post is a little late, but life has gotten in the way of writing. Some awesome announcements were made in January, and I cannot wait to share all of them with you. Lots of books will be adapted into TV shows/movies and even more beloved authors have announced new books.

More Casting Announcements For The Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda Movie

Last month we got the news that Nick Robinson will be playing Simon in the movie adaption for Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda. In January it was announced that Logan Miller will play Martin, Alexandra Shipp will play Abby, Katherine Langford will play Leah, and Jorge Lendeborg Jr. will play Nick. I’m super excited for more cast updates and for this movie to eventually come out.

New Stephanie Perkins Book Has A Title

Stephanie Perkins, author of the Anna and the French Kiss trilogy, has announced her new book titled There Is Someone Inside Your House. This will be horror story, and I’m very interested to see where Stephanie Perkins will take it.

New Leigh Bardugo Book Announced

Leigh Bardugo, author of the Grisha trilogy and the Six of Crows trilogy, is publishing a novella bind up with stories about the Grisha universe. This new book will be called The Language of Thorns.

Lin Manuel Miranda Is Producing And Writing The Music For A TV Adaptation of the Kingkiller Chronicles

I have not actually read the Kingkiller Chronicles yet, but I guess I will have to now that Lin Manuel Miranda will be producing (and writing the music for) the TV adaption.

New Tahereh Mafi Book Announced

Tahereh Mafi announced that her new book titled Whichwood will be released in September 2017. It will be a “dark persian fantasy about a girl who washes dead bodies for a living”. I’m intrigued.

Throne of Glass Finale Release Date Will Be Pushed Back

The release date for the sixth and final book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas has been pushed back to 2018.
